Last month in April 2023, we did our first 4WD Trip with Dingo Trax.  We wanted to try this trip out for ourselves before offering it to our clients and all I can say is, “WOW”.

We had the most amazing adventure!    It was a three night trip and we packed up and left from our friends home in Coongulla and met up with John and his crew.  We spent there days trekking around our beautiful high country seeing amazing sights.  We did the Stockmans Huts trip.  This is something you will not see if you do not do the 4WD trip.  There is no other access other than this trek and it’s amazing fun!.

We were travelling with several other groups and it was not only an educational trip but a great social occasion as well.  

One of our travelling buddies were in a UNIMOG.  An incredibly useful ex army vehicle which was amazing at clearing the path when it was blocked!!  

We collected our own firewood for fires at night and sat around the campfires with a Banjo and Ukulele, singing all kinds of songs.  

John is an amazing host and so very knowledgeable about the area and the history.  Always good for a yarn and he knows his stuff.  Our other guide was Ross and what a legend.  He is one of the real stockmen and had even more stories and history to share.  So much to share, it made it such a real experience.  

So with a bit of ice on the tents in the morning and crunchy grass we enjoyed the beautiful crisp mornings once again sitting around the remnants of the fire from the night before and sipping coffee before we heading off for another day of bouncing and fun. 

3 amazing days of 4WD experience and history, visiting all the old Stockmens huts, made our trip all very memorable.
